One of eight
A brown hinged storage box, labelled "Letters" on the spine.
Contents of box are invoices and correspodence from 1907,1908, and 1909. Most of the vendors are Boston based and it appears that goods and services purchased were in Boston.
Invoices have been grouped together by type of goods purchased. Grouping probably done by Thuya Lodge docent in 2016.
Address listed on the invoices include 60 Chestnut and 220 Devonshire.
Box also include receipts for payments by Joseph Curtis in 1901 "by check of H.T. Whitman" for a "loan" that appears to be a mortgage loan against property in Edison Park. Signature on the receipts is Joseph McDonald.
Box also includes correspondence from H.T. Whitman that outlines the source of a check to Joseph Curtis that is included with the correspondence.
Box includes a set of alphabetically labelled dividers that are attached to the inside of the box spine.
This box was one of seven found on the shelves of the Study, Thuya Lodge. The box was removed from the Lodge and taken to the Preserve office for storage in 2012.
The box is hinged on two edges. The frontt cover and one side of the box open on the hinges. There is a small metal clasp on the front cover and the hinged side.
