Pressed board with brass handles.
Box contains a selection of correspondence and many handwritten pencil notes by Curtis. It also includes a printed circular that was funded by a committee oppose to automobiles in the Town of Mount Desert. Most of the contents of this box were created in 1913.
Originally found stacked on shelf next to bookcase in study at Thuya Lodge. Removed from the Lodge and taken to the Preserve offices for storing.
Probably used to store various papers and records by Joseph Curtis.
