Proposed Coston Motel
Title:
Proposed Coston Motel
Description:
Sketches, elevations, schemes
Roc's comments:
Old Mr. Coston was dying. He asked me to design a motel for a vacant lot on Main Street in Bar Harbor. This great solution describes a "shingled Rusticator's Carriage House" row of shops and offices facing Main Street with a "No tell motel" along the north side of the parking lot beyond. We presented it to him on Christmas. He was delighted. He died soon after the Holidays. Nice man.
