A handwritten diary, in a bound book, written by an unknown author. Inscribed "F. Snow" in the front and lists Walnut, Iowa as the first location. References to other communities and places are included throughout the diary. This journal was found in the personal papers of Joseph Curtis bequested to the Town of Mount Desert in 1928. The item was removed from Thuya Lodge in 2009 for evaluation and safe storage. Connection to Joseph Curtis and his family is unknown. Further research is warranted.

Mathilde is the sister of Amelia Lewandowski Curtis, wife of Joseph Curtis and mother of the Curtis child.
