A handwritten diary, in a bound book, written by an unknown author. Inscribed "F. Snow" in the front and lists Walnut, Iowa as the first location. References to other communities and places are included throughout the diary. This journal was found in the personal papers of Joseph Curtis bequested to the Town of Mount Desert in 1928. The item was removed from Thuya Lodge in 2009 for evaluation and safe storage. Connection to Joseph Curtis and his family is unknown. Further research is warranted.

The John Savage House, The Phillips Cottage, the first Asticou Inn with the old farm house in front of it (later moved and in 1967 used by the Phillips family in summer) the Harbor Cottage- The Morris cottage up the hill. Note the old Savage cemetery (later moved to a newer Forest Hill Cemetery).
