7838 | Overhead view of Thuya Lodge property and mountains and water to the Southwest |
|
| Black and white photo (11 x 14) printed on heavyweight professional paper. Date unknown. Shows a grassy area behind the lodge which may have been the beginning of the Savage design for the Thuya Garden. Photo shows driveway and cleared area at the rear of Thuya Lodge which was probably the area cleared during the initial stages of preparing the property for the transplanting of Reef Point plants. There are no Farrand shrubs in the photo but the short walkway path from the driveway to the Garden appears on this photo. It is thought that it was installed in 1956. This photo is probably dated in the range 1955-1959. |
