A storage box that contains personal writings, journals, theatre presentations such as a play, and other ephemra from Mathilde Lewandowski. All writings are in French. Mathilde is the sister of Amelia Lewandowski Curtis, wife of Joseph Curtis and mother of the Curtis child. She wrote in French and probably was born in France and immigrated with her sister in the early 1880's to Cambridge, Massachusetts were she lived while these writings were created. The journals and papers are in poor condition with mildew spots and other imperfections of age and poor storage conditions. A French teacher reviewed these materials in 2009 and made notes with an overview of many of the materials. These notes are included within the box, affixed to each writing she reviewed.
